During Graphic Design I, we were given the task to go online and choose an article of our choosing. From this, we were to illustrate an image that could be used for the original article.
The article I chose was, "Florida Man Shoves Stolen Crossbow Down Trousers.” I ended up having a lot of fun with this article and was able to create something that I never thought I’d create.
The idea was to create what appeared to be security footage of a man and somehow incorporate the crossbow in his pants. Upon searching for images of crossbows and not finding any without the wings extended, I decided it would add some comedy to keep the wings and make it look like his pants are forming to the shape of the bow. As for the appearance I had fun making what originally looked like an innocent character to be a hardcore Florida man with a drawn on six-pack and a hat. I also had worked to distort the background and add texture to give it that low-quality security camera footage look.
