As part of my internship at Murray Art Guild, I was tasked to look as well as design for promotional materials that could be either sold in the market or given out as free branding. Coming across a pen on designmugs.com that was recyclable, I felt as though it fit the brand of Murray Art Guild and represented who they are. As for the design of the pen, my goal was to make it simplistic so it was on the cheaper side for them, a non-profit, to order without putting a dent in their budget and to pay tribute to the sans-serif typeface that is in their logo. The typeface that I had chosen to use was Roboto. The next step was to create a .png that could be easily inserted into Design Mugs to effortlessly order pens.
Some notes I had taken on the project after the executive director, Debi Henri Danielson, and I had discussed it.
